Teaching Respect

Classroom lessons are a great way to ensure that you see all of the students that you serve. I absolutely love this time. I work really hard to create lessons that students will enjoy. One character trait that I emphasize throughout the year is respect. I allow students to do skits, create poems and work in collaborative groups. I enjoy seeing the students enjoying these lessons. For this reason, I created a respect activity pack that can be found HERE. This activity pack includes a poster that describes the word respect, 8 activities for K-6th grade students, awards and vouchers. Here are some pics below.

Awards, posters and vouchers are also included in this pack. There are 8 activities included in this resource. You can receive this product for $3.00.

New School Counselor Organization Tips (FREEBIE) Included

Hi Friends! Can you believe that it is almost July? That means that I have exactly four weeks of summer vacation left. I look forward to beginning another school year. One thing that I have learned is that organization goes a long way for school counselors! Over the years, I have developed a system that helps me keep track of everything.  There are a few things that I recommend when getting organized. These are the things that works best for me.

1. Planner. Seriously! I have used many different planners in the past. This year, I will be using my Plum Paper Large Teacher Planner. I was able to request add-ons and I absolutely love it. It's great for keeping track of my classes schedules, meetings and checklist.
2. Counseling Notebook- The past two years, I've made my own notebook. This year I invested in  Carol Miller's The Middle School Counselor calendar. It can be found HERE. She is has invested a lot of time in this calendar and has truly made it The Perfect Counselor Planner.  This will help me keep track of communications, schedules, individual/ group counseling logs and so much more! It is a great price! Check it out!
3. File Folders, Flash Drives, Notebooks and Storage Crates- I have a file folder or notebook for everything! It's so easy to get busy and just sit things down. I make sure to store everything away in it's respective place. It will save you a lot of time and stress in the end. You can purchase these folders from anywhere. Be sure to save documents that you may need on your flash drive. Back tracking is the worst. I get mine from Office Depot.
4. Business Cards- Invest in quality business cards. You will meet so many people and want to convey that you are a serious professional. I purchased mine from Vistaprint. They work well and they come in a variety of choices.

I opened my new Teachers Pay Teachers store. I will have the latest school counseling materials. Stop by and browse my resources.  As a freebie, I am including these documentation forms.

Head over to my store Enthused Counseling to download the forms as your FREEBIE!! Be sure to check out other resources and follow me. :-) This FREEBIE will last up until 10:00 p.m. June 28, 2016.
